The Challenge

Wintrust Commercial Finance (WCF) has rapidly grown from their founding in 2015 into one of the largest equipment financing companies in the country. Originally subleasing an older building in Frisco’s Hall Park, WCF outgrew that space and desired a drastic upgrade for their local HQ to reflect the strong culture and brand they had developed. Seeking not only a rapid timeline, WCF also needed a solution for the couple of years remaining on their existing lease.

Our Strategic Approach

Applying its DAAD methodology to conduct discovery and assessment with WCF stakeholders, Citadel Partners devised a financially favorable strategic plan with an expeditious timeline. Citadel met with architects and teamed with Corgan for a strategic visioning session, giving WCF a clear and feasible path toward a new HQ facility that would enhance their brand and benefit their business performance.

The Outcome

Citadel represented WCF’s relocation to Hall Park’s newest development as one of the first tenants in Frisco’s tallest office building, negotiating a no-penalty lease termination and considerable concessions from the landlord. In addition, Citadel represented WCF in acquiring a six-figure retention bonus from the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, to keep their HQ in Frisco. These financial outcomes allowed for zero out-of-pocket construction costs as well as additional funds for WCF to invest in their business and new office space.
